Founding BSI in 1990, as President Richard (Dick) Hammer has built a specialty insurance brokerage firm recognized as a leader in providing customized workers’ compensation programs. Dick’s well-rounded perspective on the insurance needs of his clients was developed from over 35 years experience in the insurance industry. Dick has been instrumental in the design, development and administration of programs for self-insured clients and captive insurance companies.
Prior to founding BSI, Dick spent 14 years in a number of managerial roles at Corroon & Black (now Willis Corroon). Dick holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology and economics from the University of Minnesota. Dick is a licensed P&C insurance agent.
Jeff joined Brentwood Services, Inc. in May 1999 to enhance the internal accounting department and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department. In addition to his role as Chief Operating Officer for Brentwood Services, Inc., Jeff now oversees all TPA operations.
He began his career in the financial service industry in 1977 working at a small community bank. Jeff joined the firm of Ernst & Young, LLP, where his primary focus was working with financial institutions ranging in size from $50 million to $45 billion in total assets. Jeff graduated cum laude from Georgia State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Keith has over 30 years of experience in the areas of commercial insurance and reinsurance in both the domestic and international insurance market. Keith began his career at Lloyd’s of London and moved to the US in 1986, working mainly in the areas of excess casualty, reinsurance and the formation and management of association insurance programs. Within BSA, Keith oversees program administration and underwriting operations.
Keith joined Brentwood Services in 1992, assuming the leadership of BrentRe in 2008. Keith has earned the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) professional insurance designation awarded by the American Institute for CPCU along with the Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) and the Associate in Commercial Underwriting (AU) given by the Insurance Institute of America. Keith is a founding Board member of the Tennessee Captive Insurance Association (TCIA), and active board member of the Alabama Captive Association and a member of the Self Insurance Institute of America (SIIA).
John is one of BSA’s longest-tenured employees, beginning his career with the company in 1992 working as an adjuster, supervisor and regional claim director before moving into sales. John was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2015. His claims experience is invaluable in demonstrating to clients and prospective clients the capabilities and wide array of services offered by BSA. John has been instrumental in assisting BSA in its growth by developing and securing many high profile clients while enhancing BSA’s reputation throughout the marketplace.
John is a graduate of David Lipscomb University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics. John earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, a professional insurance designation awarded by the American Institute for CPCU, an independent, nonprofit educational organization. He also earned the Associate in Claims (AIC) designation, given by the Insurance Institute of America, and the Associate in Risk Management Designation (ARM).
Mark leads BSA’s claims team overseeing customer service, claims settlement and risk management solutions for clients. His career has spanned 34 years and been shaped by working with carriers, agents and brokers. This diverse background enables Mark to bring a unique perspective to his role.
Prior to joining BSA, Mark worked with Arthur J. Gallagher as the Director of Claims for a medical malpractice captive. He has worked with CNA as a Trainer in their claims department and with Willis as a National Accounts Manager for fronted programs. Mark began his career in the early 80s with Safeco, which was known for their training initiatives. Mark is an honors graduate of the University of North Alabama, where he was named a member of the Gulf South All-Conference baseball team in 1978. He is an active volunteer with numerous community outreach programs.
Eryn joined Brentwood Services Administrators, Inc. in April 1992 and brings with her over 25 years claims and managed care experience. After advancing through several claims positions at BSAI including Senior Vice President of Claims, Eryn currently serves as President of CompPoint Managed Care. In this role, Eryn is responsible for development and oversight of CompPoint's service offerings, which include medical bill review, case management, utilization review, pharmacy benefits management, coordination and performance of BSAI’s managed care partners, providing oversight and direction in the areas of medical bill review, utilization review, pre-certification, pharmacy benefits, and case management, transportation and language services, investigative services and Medicare compliance.
Eryn received her undergraduate degree in Health Policy and Administration from the Pennsylvania State University in 1990. After graduation, she accepted a claims trainee position with Pennsylvania National Insurance Company in their Goodlettsville, TN office and officially began her claims career handling workers’ compensation, auto, property and general liability claims. She obtained her Associate in Claims designation from the Insurance Institute of America in 2000. Eryn is an active member in the Mid-South Workers Compensation Claims Association and Hands on Nashville, a non-profit organization designed to promote volunteerism to meet community needs.

Dawn joined Brentwood Services, Inc. in 1994 and now has over 30 years’ experience in the Nashville area insurance industry including a national insurance company and prominent Nashville insurance agency. Dawn’s wide range of experience within the industry includes underwriting, administration and marketing of commercial insurance lines. Dawn oversees the insurance brokerage and reinsurance operations for BrentRe working with a broad range of clients in association programs, specialty insurance companies including captives and commercial accounts who utilize self-insurance, large deductible insurance and alternative risk financing programs.
In additional to the Chartered Property & Casualty (CPCU) and Associate in Underwriting (AU) designations awarded by the Insurance Institute of American, Dawn holds both the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designations. Currently Dawn is working on her ACI designation and hopes to finish the required courses in 2018. Dawn is a licensed Property and Casualty insurance agent and holds her Life and Health insurance license.
Collette joined Brentwood Services, Inc. in 2008 as Controller. Promoted to Chief Financial Officer in 2016, Collette has financial management responsibility for the general and statutory accounting for Brentwood Services and a number of our insurance company clients. Other responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, coordination of outside exams and audits, and was heavily involved in recent claim and underwriting system conversions.
Prior to joining Brentwood Services, Collette held key financial management positions including Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer for a western states worker’s compensation TPA and Treasurer and Controller of its affiliated P&C insurance companies. Collette graduated with a bachelor's degree in accounting from Michigan State University. She currently volunteers for the Insurance Accounting and System Association, a non-profit education association that strives to enhance the knowledge of insurance professionals as the Director of Career Skills Development.
As General Counsel for Brentwood Services, Inc., Everett Sinor is responsible for providing in-house legal services for the company, as well as supervising and monitoring all litigation. Everett also coordinates and directs Brentwood Services’ government regulatory efforts.
Everett received his undergraduate degree in business from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee in 1991. After graduating from law school, Everett became an associate in the Franklin, Tennessee law firm of Petersen, Buerger, Moseley, & Carson. In 1998, Everett became a staff attorney for the State of Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance, handling both insurance and securities matters. In 1999, Everett became the Senior Counsel for Insurance for the department, and in 2001, Everett was named Assistant Commissioner for Insurance by Commissioner Anne B. Pope. He served in that capacity for two years before joining Brentwood Services as its first in-house general counsel in 2003.
Lisa joined BSA in February 1991 as Account Manager and has progressed to Senior Vice President of Underwriting. Lisa was the first employee for Brentwood Services and was instrumental in assisting the owners in growing the company. Lisa provides the necessary direction to lead an exceptional underwriting and policy services department. Her underwriting departmental staff is responsible for risk selection and analysis to determine the insurance solution for each account. The underwriting department provides policy management and related services to mutual insurance companies and self-insured workers compensation groups.
Prior to joining BSA Lisa was a surplus lines broker in Nashville and Houston TX responsible for marketing surplus lines business including excess and umbrella liability. Lisa was also involved in underwriting accounts under the MGA agreement Gresham had with Scottsdale Insurance Company. Lisa began her insurance career with USF&G Insurance Company in 1981. She was responsible for rating all lines of commercial insurance along with policy set up and statistical coding.
Matt began his claims career as a Claims Adjuster with Liberty Mutual in June of 1994. Accepted a position with Johnston & Associates in July of 1995 as Claims Manager and helped establish a regional TPA. In May of 1997, Matt accepted a position as Claims Adjuster with WCASC and was promoted to Supervisor within 1 year of employment. While at WCASC, Matt worked directly with The Local Government Fund, a self-insured group of County Municipalities. In November of 1999 he joined BSA, Inc. where he has worked his way from Sr. Claim Adjuster to his current position of Assistant Vice-President Claims. Matt is responsible for overseeing BSA, Inc.’s Accident & Health programs that include Non-Subscriber and Occupational Accident claims.
Neil joined Brentwood Services, Inc. in May of 2003 as benefit specialist. In 2005 he took on the role of operations specialist. Neil works closely with our Human Resources Department in a variety of benefit related areas and also has responsibilities for various functions related to key operational aspects of the company. He is responsible for conducting regular loss analysis for our accounts including management reports to our clients as well as monitoring the reporting and collection of excess recoveries on behalf of our clients.
Neil has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry including work with major insurance carriers and third party administrators. Prior to joining Brentwood Services, Neil served as Operations Director with Willis Administrative Services.
Steven joined BSA in April, 2010 as the Information Technology Director. Steven is a graduate of Kentucky State University. Prior to joining BSA, Steven was the Information Technology Manager at KY School Boards Association.
Rick began working with Brentwood Services Administrators in 2002. As Vice President of Client Services, Rick’s focus is on maintaining client relations and service commitments with existing customers. This includes claims, loss control and system contracts. He works closely with the Sales Division to establish the service groundwork for prospective and new clients at BSA. Rick also oversees the Loss Control Division, which services clients independently of our claims services as well as in conjunction with those services.
Rick is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.He began his career with Aetna Casualty & Surety as a Loss Control Consultant in 1980. In 1992 he began working with TPAs and MGAs such as Managed Care, In Serve Corporation and Guarantee Insurance. Over the next sixteen years he held the positions of Loss Control Director, Regional Account Manager, Agency Manager and Assistant Vice President of Loss Control. Rick has been instrumental in the development of products for self-insured clients, associations and groups throughout those years to include web based interactive safety sites, BEST Practices and Benchmarking tools for the Automotive and Healthcare industries.
